Before you contact us

Many issues are resolved by checking the basics:

  • DualFrame requires iPhone (not iPad), iOS 16 or later, and camera, microphone, and Photos (save) permissions.
  • Dual Lens mode only appears on compatible hardware (typically iPhone XS / XR or newer) and when the device reports multi-cam support at runtime.
  • Finished recordings are saved to your Photos library as separate portrait and landscape files when a session completes successfully.
  • If recording fails, confirm free storage, that the device is not overheating, and try restarting the app.

Common questions

Where do my videos go after recording?

When you stop recording successfully, DualFrame saves the portrait and landscape files to your Photos library. They are not uploaded to any server.

Why don’t I see Dual Lens mode?

Dual Lens is shown only when your iPhone supports Apple’s multi-camera capture APIs. Older or unsupported devices fall back to Single Lens. The app checks capabilities at runtime.

The app asks for camera, microphone, or Photos access — why?

Camera and microphone are required to record video and audio. Photos access (add only) is required to save finished files to your library. DualFrame does not read your existing photos.

I can’t save or recording stops immediately — what should I try?

Check Settings → Privacy & Security for DualFrame permissions, free disk space, and whether iOS is reporting thermal throttling. Closing other camera apps and restarting the phone often helps.
